Western Pond Turtle Workshop 2015The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter is excited to announce the availability of 4 complimentary student registrations for the upcoming Western Pond Turtle Workshop: Ecology and Conservation on October 24, 2015 at Sonoma State University. The SFBA Chapter’s student scholarship program is part of the chapter’s ongoing initiative to engage wildlife biology students and student chapters in workshops and professional development opportunities. Students interested in attending the workshop are invited to complete the chapter’s scholarship application form (attached) and submit it no later than September 24.
Application Submission Instructions: Completed applications should be submitted to student chapter representative Ivan Parr ([email protected]) on or before the advertised submittal date: September 24. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. Selection Process: Priority will be given to SFBA student chapter members, but all students are encouraged to apply. Final awardees will be selected based on merit as demonstrated in the application. Notification: All applicants will be notified of their submission status within a week of the submittal due date. Responsibilities: Awardees may be asked to provide basic technical and administrative assistance during the workshop (i.e. workshop registration, field trip set-up, etc.).
